Sometimes the best thing you can do for yourself is give yourself some space and time to nurture your soul, body, and mind. It doesn’t mean you have to disappear from your job, family, or life, it simply means that you are taking a short break to consider your feelings and emotions. At times you need a couple of days to yourself and sometimes you just need 5 minutes to be ready for the world again. Regardless of whether it’s a day or a minute, I encourage you to take all the time you need.
We’re often too busy with our careers, our families and other add-ons life has that we forget to look after our own mental health. We forget we’re not invincible…we can be defeated.
That’s where self-love comes into place. That’s how we build ourselves back up or prevent ourselves from being knocked down in the first place by life’s obstacles. That’s the way out!
So take walks, binge watch TV shows and films, meditate, paint, run and do anything that brings you joy and nurtures you the way you need it. Don’t always seek in others something that you can offer to yourself. Love your body and your mind and take those breaks we all need from time to time.
